Speech Spa is a private practice offering screenings, consultations, comprehensive assessments and speech therapy in Gwinnett and parts of DeKalb County. Our fun, motivating, and most of all, functional therapy is provided in the “Natural Environment” where children learn to acquire and use their newly formed skills in their everyday surroundings. We accept private pay for services, Medicaid – SSI, Amerigroup, & Peachstate.
Amy Coleman-Perryman
Amy Coleman-Perryman is the proud founder of Speech Spa and a nationally certified speech language pathologist with over 10 years of experience in a broad range of pediatric settings. She graduated from Nova Southeastern University with a Master’s degree in Speech Language and Communicative Disorders. Since graduating, she has worked professionally with children in early intervention, schools, and adults in skilled nursing settings. Prior to becoming a speech language pathologist, she was better known as Azalea the Clown in south Florida where she entertained children of all ages for over 7 years.
She currently holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), and remains an active member of ASHA. She enjoys evaluating and treating a variety of diagnoses including Articulation and Speech Sound Disorders, Language based learning disorders, Early Intervention approaches, Oral and Written Language impairments, Oral Motor impairments, Apraxia of Speech, Auditory Processing, Autism Spectrum Disorders, and Phonological Awareness skills. She has also been trained in the Sequential Oral Sensory Feeding Approach (SOS) and Beckman Oral Motor Therapy to address the needs of children with feeding issues.
Amy lives in Grayson, with her husband James and enjoys dancing, traveling, dining out, spending time with family, volunteering in her community and shoe shopping.
